Wallace
.
Your post is "Musick" to my ears! I think I'll warm some milk and have Carol
bake cookies so I can read it to myself again as a bedtime story.
How blessed we are to have not only a site to bird which offers a menu of
observations (evidenced by your post) that rivals any single AZ or TX site, but
also, the warm and gracious hosts like property owner Mae Musick and family.
These folks not only welcome birders who are willing to sign in but have been
most helpful to those of us finding ourselves in need from time. Not to mention
the tomatoes often shared from the bountiful onsite crop.
I think we could get great shorebirding at Musick's Lakeside Campground this
year. Icebreakers already include Spotted Sandpiper and Semipalmated Plover.
It could be the year for Black-necked Stilts or Purple Sandpipers. Like you
said, Wallace, lets get out there and enjoy the birds!

'Til we bird again
