[Bristol-Birds] Douglas Lake/ Rnakin Bottom Results

Well, the Bristol Bird Club trip to Douglas Lake/ Rankin Bottoms was blessed 
with with great weather for birding...but not for drought alleviation.  
Michael Sledjeski and Leslie did a great job of leading us over some pretty 
difficult terrain for cars.  Particisan hubley and her nephew Evan Cathers, 
Shane and 
Dennis Adams, Roy Knispel and yours truly.  The total list was 36 or 37 bird 
species and a coyote!  The bird list included:  Canada Goose, Mallard, 
Blue-winged Teal, Wild Turkey, Double-crested Cormorant, Great Blue Heron 
(many), 
Great Egret (many), Green Heron, Black Vulture, Turkey Vulture, Osprey, Bald 
Eagle, Red-tailed Hawk, Peregrine (chasing a killdeer), Semipalmated Plover, 
Killdeer, Greater Yellowlegs, Lesser Yellowlegs, Spotted Sandpiper, Sanderling, 
Semipalmated Sandpiper, Western Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, possible 
White-rumped 
Sandpiper, likely Baird's Sandpiper, Ring-billed Gull, Caspian Tern, Rock 
Pigeon, Mourning Dove, Eastern Kingbird, Blue Jay, American Crow, Barn Swallow, 
Carolina Wren, Eastern Bluebird, Field Sparrow and American Goldfinch.  I will 
be sending out more info tomorrow on upcoming trips!
