Daniel Moss, avian biologist for the Fort Campbell Military Reservation, is
expected to be the Friday evening speaker for The Spring 2006 Meeting of the
Kentucky Ornithological Society which will be held at Pennyrile Forest State
Resort Park from 28 - 30 April 2006. For reservations, call 1-800-535-1711.
There is also a campground in the park.
Moss, is the tentative speaker for Friday evening. His program will include the
latest information on the status of Bachman's Sparrow at Fort Campbell, as well
as his survey work with Henslow's Sparrows and other species.
A silent auction will be held at the spring KOS meeting as well. Bird books,
bird items, and other nature-related items that might sell at a silent auction
of birders are being sought. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to the
general fund for the specific purpose of improving KOS meeting quality by
funding regionally- and nationally-recognized experts in ornithology or birding
as primary speakers for our Saturday evening programs.
This message is copied from the Kentucky Ornithological Society website and
recomposed by Wallace Coffey for the TN-Birds Net.
Let's go birding......
