Project FeederWatch, a "citizen science" project of the Cornell Lab of
Ornithology, is entering its 20th season. It is not too late to join thousands
of
Feeder Watchers like me from across the continent who are counting birds at
their feeders. A large volume of valuable data is being collected.
It's as easy as: (1) Putting up feeders; (2) Counting the birds that visit;
and (3) Sending the data to scientists.
Learn more about birds and bird feeding on the FeederWatch website:
www.birds.cornell.edu/pfw. Your paticipation fee of $15 makes FeederWatch
possible.
Project participants receive instructions, bird-feeding information, a
bird-identification poster, and a calendar. Ot learn more or to join, go to the
website,
or call 1-800-843-2473.
Come join us for a lot of fun this winter.
