This morning (04/12) I watched a Common Raven for a few minutes in Kingsport. The raven was perched in a tree in the Brook's Plumbing parking lot facing Netherland Inn road near it's intersection with Wilcox Drive. It was watching traffic and waiting for an opportunity to fly down and get a nice piece of roadkill that was in the middle of the road. The crows were treating this raven just as they would a hawk, with mobbing and loud calls. The raven finally got an opportunity to grab the carrion and then flew off in the direction of the Domtar Paper Mill. Rick Phillips Kingsport, Tennessee
