I finally managed to get out to Wilbur Lake and see the White-winged Scoter reported by the Potters. The Redheads were still there also.
At Sycamore Shoals in Elizabethton an anonymous tip from a walker in the park put me onto two drake Northern Pintails and five American Black Ducks, along with a dozen each Buffleheads and Mallards. A Common Raven flew upriver while I was there, also.
