A very good comparison of four species of geese is available at the easily
accessed Bush Hog Pond in Washington Co., TN There are Snow Geese, Ross's
Geese, Canada Geese and White-fronted Geese seen in close proximity. I was
there Monday Feb 23. Also seen were 7 Green-wing Teal, 5 Gadwall and several
Mallards. Along Slate Hill Road to the west of Bush Hog I had several Crows
harrassing a Common Raven with a large food ball in its mouth. Red-tail Hawks
are pairing up as well, seen in several locations in lower Washington Co. TN.
