[Bristol-Birds] Breaks Field Trip

The May 31 trip to the Breaks Interstate Park was blessed with great weather
and an excellent group of ten birders: Wilma Boy, Lois Cox, John Hay,
Laverne and Tom Hunter, John Moyle, Michele Sparks, Ed and Michele Talbot and
Lisa
and Tyler. After we arrived, Ed and Michele agreed to lead us because of their
familiarity with the park. They did a great job of not only finding some
good birds, but they also showed us the spectacular geological features of the
park! The total number of bird species was not particularly high (22 species)
but included: Pileated Woodpecker, Acadian Flycatcher (great looks),
Great-crested flycatcher, Blue-headed Vireo, Red-eyed Vireo, Northern Parula
(good
looks), Black-throated Green Warbler, Black and White Warbler (good looks),
Swainson's Warbler (great looks), Ovenbird (good looks), Hooded Warbler (great
looks), Wilson's Warbler and Scarlet Tanager.
