I just had a fantastic look at a stunning Blue-winged Warbler. It was right
outside my window where I work at The Potter's Gallery in Boone's Creek. It
stayed there, feeding on caterpillars for about five minutes. It's hard to get
any work done around here. Rick Knight called as I was watching the blue-wing.
I think he has a sense for these things.
Other nice birds found here recently include Cooper's Hawk, Red-tailed Hawk,
Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Hairy Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker, Yellow-throated
Vireo, Brown Thrasher, Cedar Waxwings, Magnolia Warblers, Black and White
Warblers, American Redstarts, Hooded Warbler and Field Sparrows.
I'm also getting a nice butterfly list started.
