I had a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher at home in Hampton, Carter Co., TN, this
morning (March 31) around 9:30 a.m. The bird was giving its buzzy call
and actively foraging. The bird's right on schedule, with Blue-gray
Gnatcatchers usually putting in their first appearance of the year in
the last few days of March each year.
