Howard Langridge, Gary Wallace, David Thometz and Bryan Stevens went to
Austin Springs and observed the Black-necked Stilt found by Rick Knight. The
time
of their visit was around 4 p.m.
We drove through the first gate of the Humphreys property. Drove through
pasture to the second gate, parked, got out and scanned the small rocky island
just off shore. We found the Black-necked Stilt immediately.

At one point, the stilt and several Killdeers took flight, but the entire
flock eventually made their way back.

Also present, one Dunlin.

We scanned for Loggerhead Shrike, but didn't locate one.

Bryan Stevens,
Hampton, TN
