Made a quick jaunt after school today to help a friend id a hawk at the John
Sevier Steam Plant. Took a quick hike back to the dam and found 30+ adult
Black-crowned Night Herons below the dam, and 3 occupied nests below the fly
ash silos along the walkway. I suspect there are several more - didn't have a
scope with me today.
Also:
Great Egret - 2
Great Blue Herons - adults and juveniles 15+
Green Heron - 2
