[Bristol-Birds] Bird Trip: Kingston Steam Plant and Eagle Bend Fishery

If you plan to attend the Bristol Bird Club trip (Saturday, August 9) to the
Kingston Steam Plant (just byond Knoxville on I-40) and the Eagle Bend Fish
Hatchery (just north of Knoxville), we will meet in the Ingles' parking lot at
exit 59 on I 81 at 6:00 a.m. and plan to return by 6:00 p.m. Last year, in the
weeks surrounding this date, the following birds were seen at the Steam
Plant: Black Tern, Stilt Sandpiper, Short-billed Dowitcher, Semipalmated
Sandpiper,
Least Sandpiper, Lesser Yellowlegs, Pectoral Sandpiper, Semiplover Plover,
Osprey, Blue-winged Teal, Blue Grosbeak, Brown-headed Nuthatch, Pine Warbler.
At Eagle Bend there were: Great Blue Heron, Green Heron, Black-crowned
Night-Heron, Red-shouldered Hawk, Killdeer, Lesser Yellowlegs, Western
Sandpiper,
Willet, Semipalmated Sandpiper, Solitary Sandpiper, Spotted Sandpiper, Pectoral
Sandpiper and Least Sandpiper.
