Bristol Bird Club member D. Kamiron Cross, Blountville, TN, was selected for
the Trustee Scholarship offered by North Greenville University (NGU),
Tigerville, SC. The award is the school's most prestigious full tuition
scholarship
recognizing academic excellence and outstanding community achievements.
U.S. News and World Report ranks NGU in their Comprehensive
Colleges-Bachelor's (South): Top Schools report as a Top 50 pick. The average
high school GPA
of students accepted is 3.79.
Kami was selected based on the recommendation of her school, Sullivan Central
High School where she serves as Sr. Class President, academic achievement
(4.1 GPA and ACT Composite 32!), and her interview with the NGU Trustee
Committee
earlier this year. A congratulatory letter was sent from NGU identifying Kami
as having been picked from the "best and brightest."
Kami will be studying Christian Studies, Theater, and Accounting starting in
the fall of 2007.
I am very proud of my daughter and her accomplishment.
