The Bristol Bird Club will have a Bird Walk (primarily for beginners) at Steele
Creek Park on Saturday, June 28th. We will meet at the Nature Center at 9 am.
Some birds being found regularly are Great Blue Herons, Acadian Flycatchers,
Great Crested Flycatchers, Yellow-throated Vireos, Cedar Waxwings,
Yellow-throated Warblers, Summer Tanagers, Indigo Buntings, Orchard Orioles and
Baltimore Orioles. Last week I found a Bobwhite and a Red Headed Woodpecker.
We will walk and talk about birding in the park, birding in the region and
birding in general. We might even look at a few insects along the way. I have
some extra binoculars. This is open to anyone. Entrance to the park is free.
Donations are appreciated.
Larry McDaniel.
