I am sorry that the March 28 trip to Green County was cancelled due to the
weather! We have had this conflict a couple of times already this year.
However, we do need the rain! Our next planned trip will be this coming
Saturday,
at American Way/ Tranbarger Drive in Kingsport. This will be a "beginner bird
walk" and start at 9 a.m. and last until approximately 11 a.m. The site is
known for its night-heron rookery. We have a good opportunity of seeing
Yellow-crowned and Black-crowned Night Herons as well as early spring arrivals
in the
wooded area. Later in the week I will post directions to the meeting spot.
The weather forecast (at this point in time is good)!!! P.S. I was in
California for the past week visiting our daughter's family. I had some nice
birds
but no lifers!
