[Bristol-Birds] American Bittern, Bobolink, etc. (Greene Co., TN)

Yesterday [May 3, 2008], while participating in the Greeneville TOS spring 
count, I observed the following, almost all of which were found in the western 
portion of Greene County:

Northern Bobwhite

American Bittern (Wal-Mart Distribution Center)
Great Egret (2, Wal-Mart Distribution Center)

Osprey

Lesser Yellowlegs (8)
Solitary Sandpiper (2)
Spotted Sandpiper
Least Sandpiper (20)

Eurasian Collared-Dove (2--1 adjacent to West Greene High School, 1 on Jackson 
Hollow Road; the second site is a new one for the species)

Chuck-will's-widow
Whip-poor-will (3, Greene Mountain)

Red-headed Woodpecker

Acadian Flycatcher

Yellow-throated Vireo (7, an unusual total)

Cliff Swallow (35, Bewley's Bridge)

15 warbler species, including
Prairie Warbler (6)
Blackpoll Warbler
Kentucky Warbler (2)

Summer Tanager (4)

Dickcissel

Bobolink (5)

Don Miller
Greeneville, Greene Co., TN
