Birders,
Today (10/15/06), I (Chris O'Bryan) birded in Shady Valley,
Johnson County, Tennessee.
I observed a flock of 47 Canada Geese on a pond between Sluder Road and
TN route 91. This is possibly a new max record for this species in Shady
Valley.
On Orchard Road, I saw a flock of over 30 American Pipits fly over my
vehicle and onto a nearby plowed field. Nearby, a Coopers Hawk was seen
stalking a flock of Red-winged Blackbirds.
On Quarry Road, four Tennessee Warblers were seen along with two Palm
Warblers.
Good Birding!
