I had a male Canada Warbler at home (Aug. 20) with a mixed flock of Carolina
Chickadees, Tufted Titmice and two Blue-gray Gnatcatchers.
I also saw a few Chimney Swifts.
Lots of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds away from the feeders, enjoying blooming
jewelweed. Many more than I would have been aware of by just watching the
feeders.
I had a young hummer "challenge" my Audubon squeaky bird call. He would fly
to a perch and if I squeaked the call again, he would fly back, as if trying to
locate the offending sound.
I had never noticed the squeaky work on hummers.
