Friday, April 29 Backyard report from Hampton, Carter Co., TN:
The number of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds at my feeders is slowly increasing.
I saw a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher this evening, and heard a couple of Hooded
Warblers.
At the feeders, I still have a Red-breasted Nuthatch and Pine Siskins as well
as White-throated Sparrows.
Among the relatives of Ivory-billed Woodpecker, I saw or heard Pileated,
Downy and Red-bellied Woodpeckers.
The best sighting took place this evening: a Spotted Sandpiper at the fish
pond.
