gcj is the flavor of gcc which compiles Java into machine language. It contains the header files needed. Note that liblouisutdml is all lowercase. So is liblouis. BrailleBlaster is a single word. Do not use any method in the Java bindings except file2brl. The others all need work. My Linux box also has a graphical interface, so I will start activating some of the items on the BrailleBlaster menus.
