Hey Duane,
Googling the phrase "avg free" and choosing the I'm feeling Lucky option gives the result

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1

which is what you want.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I have, it is definitely not worth paying for McAfee or Norton updates *grin*

The only thing it doesn't do is a firewall. I'm in a situation currently however that I can rely on my University's outer layers of defense and be relatively secure with the XP firewall. And when I'm at home I'm behind a decent router and XP firewall.

HTH,
Jake

The makers of AVGAS believed that since the internet was
becoming an
integral part of the society, that not being able to afford
Anti virus
software shouldn't be a hindrance to access.

hence the Free version, which doesn't have all the bells and
whistles.

I have used McPhee, Norton and AVG and for friendliness
locating viruses
fastly and destroying them The free edition of AVG does an
awesome job.

In fact I can't wait to graduate so I can put AVG back on
this PC. Norton
works but it isn't very accessible.

I am curious too Amber. We tend to be suspicious of anything
free. <<<lol>
