Cindy,

Wow, thanks to you and all who have suggested books. I've made a list and now I'll start hunting.

Subject: [bookshare-discuss] potato famine fiction

Patti,

If it was years ago, were you a child? I checked by
library catalog. (The subject to put in in the search
place I finally found was Ireland History Famine,
1845-1852-fiction)

I found some juvenile fiction books by Patricia Reilly
(or reill) Giff. One is an e-audio book in my library:
Maggie's Door. Another title, both in audio books and
regular book, is Nory Ryan's Song. And Lyons, Mary E.

Knockabeg : a famine tale;Harrison, Cora.:The Famine
Secret

For adult fiction here are some titles of older books:
My dream of you / Nuala O'Faolain; Gracelin
O'Malley by Moore, Ann;Heneghan, James: The
grave;Kenny, Sean: The hungry earth

A book published in 2009 is Kelly, Mary Pat:Galway
Bay; and one published in 2006 is The law of dreams :
a novel by Peter Behrens

Your librarian can probably help you find others.

Cindy
