Hi Debra,
No, we do not get the thank you on the site.  The only way you can tell if 
your book has been sent to the admin queue is to go to your "my checked out 
books".

Debra,

On the bookshare home page, there is alink titled "browse"  After you
have clicked on that link, scroll down and look for a link entitled
New books.  Once you click on that, you should find the most recent
additions to the collection.  And my appologies; I'm really not sure
about your second question.
