Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut was banned by my school district when I was in high school way back in the early 1970s. That one went to federal court and it made national headlines back then.

My local AAUW book club is doing banned books in september. I found a listof ALA "most challenged" books but I'm not sure these qualified as "banned". where can I find a good list of books that were banned bit time, and a good story behind the banning?
