[bookshare-discuss] Re: OT Star Wars

Another upside to "snail mail" is holiday cards. I get some where I can
"see" the pictures with my fingers and I know sighted people enjoy pretty or
funny cards too.

Hello,

Well, the first stamp price I remember is 4 cents. At 41 cents, I still
think it is a bargain. I can drop a letter in a box or even have it picked
up at my door and it will go to California or Alaska and be delivered to
someone else's door. To me that is quite miraculous.

Good ot discussion.

yep bill paying is a pain in the hind end, smile. Though I still do it.

I did just mail two letters today, had to go to the post office to find a
mailbox near the apartment.

But for the most part I pay the mecessary bills online with Bank of America.

Though... the state of the mail when I get it, and my parents get it, kind
of makes me wonder sometimes, smile.

The problem, of course, i.e., the necessasity for the
price increases is that more and more people are using
the internet not only for staing in contact with
friends and relatives but for bill-paying. I remain
loyal to the post office. smile. I like writing checks
and putting stamps on the envelopes, although I
understand that pahing bills and writing checks might
not be so easy for people who are blind.
