Hi Alison,
When you see something you have uploaded as valid back on the step 1 page,
check out the comments section that you will find when you click the upload
link for the book. Chances are, you'll find a question in
there from the bookshare admin, generally, asking if the book is of better
quality than the one already in the collection. If you check one out and find
no comment from the bookshare admin, then its possible somebody
else uploaded a new copy, not realizing that there was already one in the
system. Again, check the comments section. If you see only a submission date
and nothing about the book having been validated, then that's
what happened.
