Yeah, probably right and, alas, at some point we just have to cut our losses. :-( ----- Original Message ----- From: "Grandma Cindy" <popularplace@xxxxxxxxx> To: <bookshare-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, March 28, 2008 9:28 PM Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Re: Lovely response from an author of a graphic novel I think the difference between a graphic novel and a comic book is the length. Laika is 208 pages. ALso, though I haven't looked into them carefully--they turn me off, she said somewhat unfairly and snobbishly, smile--I think the difference is that the stories and characters are more like novels in their depth or whatever. Anyway, it would be very labor-intensive. At this point the only solution, which I suggested to Shelley, was what Lora had--a nice friend to read it to her with descriptions of characters, actions, etc. G.Cindy --- Darrell Shandrow <darrell.shandrow@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > Hi Cindy, > > Do these graphic novels tend to be significantly > shorter than most books? > If so, how difficult would it be for someone to just > sit down and type it > up, along with the addition of appropriately > descriptive text for the > pictures?
