Hi, Sue, and welcome to Bookshare.
One of the things to check is the date when the book was added to the
collection when you find these kinds of errors. Books that were added
in the first few years after Bookshare was created are more likely to
have errors in them than books added more recently. Many of the early
books are high quality, but standards have changed and so has the shared
experience of how to produce better quality books from scanned
originals, leading overall to more books that are high quality scans
with fewer errors. Also, books that are marked "publisher quality" will
have different kinds of errors than will books that come from volunteers
or from books that were scanned and proofread by third party groups that
are paid by Bookshare, called outsourcers, such as Worth Trust.
When you find a book with errors that affect the quality of reading for
the book, I'd encourage you to use the option to file a quality report
on the book. You'll find a link on each book's page that lets you do
that once you are logged in to the Bookshare site. That way the book's
problems can get fixed, or the book can be replaced by a higher quality
version.

Hi All,
I just joined Bookshare about a month ago and have noticed that the
most common error in the books I've read so far seems to be lack of
spaces between words. What do you think? Please be assured that I
am in no way criticizing or complaining. It is just an observation.
