Hi Jamie,
I think that you'll have to represent all math symbols in
language as well as in their traditional form. Math symbols + - =
and the divided by sign that you are talking about won't be
handled at all by the braille translator. So, if you want braille
readers to get anything out of that book, you'll need to use the
words along with the symbols.

Like they have a table with the "squares" like 2 squared, 3 squared,
all the way up to some such number. Some of the superscript 2's
scanned well but some did not so I changed them to read squared
rather than inserting the superscript.
But it will be a fun book when it is done.
