Where can I get AT&T voices, and is there any way to use them with Openbook?
If this is off-topic, please email me off-list at

THanks.

Subject: [bookshare-discuss] Can't go back to tapes

> Just thought I would share my thoughts on books on tape. For two years
now I've been reading a lot of things on my computer using the AT&T voices
and now the Neospeech voices. This way I can read lots of news. Also in
the last two years I've been scanning and creating audio books. I love to
read them on my small MP3 player. I like the fact that it slips right into
my pocket and only weighs a few ounces. The other day I drug out my bulky
tape recorder and some books on tape. After only a few minutes, I decided
that I just couldn't go back to that form of reading (frown). I can only
hope that the Library of Congress actually comes out with their digital
books, since it seems that I am now committed to the digital world and
digital sound!!
