Cindy,

If you had been following the thread, you would know that I am waiting to
validate it, and that both Duane and I have an e-book copy of the book from
WebScriptions. This one won't need sighted help. I imagine the reason it's
taking Duane a little longer than expected is that he's doing a very
thorough cleanup.

Besides, from what I've read, you have your hands full with Cloud Atlas.
<Smile> I bet we finish before you do.

Gerald

Duane,

I haven't been following this thread very closely, but
on't worry about it your scan. If you can get the
scan done and nobody else wants to or can't validate
the book I'll do it at some point. I'll add it to my
list but will check before I get to it to be sure no
one else is doing it or has done it--assuming I can
get the book, and I gather it is relatively new so I
should be able to.

Cloud Atlas fans -- I'm more than halfway through now,
but this fifth story is h***. I suggest you listen to
it if you can. There are so many made-up words and
missing consonants and dialect -- I can't imagine what
braille will do with it, since I gather Braille is a
sort of shorthand and not letter-by-letter. The only
way I can read it is running along the lines quickly
as if I were reading it out loud. It's also oneof the
longest chapters, I think because it it the apex --
from this point we start finishing the other stories
going from this point back to the beginning.

I'll be really interested to know from some of you how
you liked the book when you finish reading it.

Cindy
