Hi cindy, I think that silent generation might be a misnomer. Perhaps, nonrebellious generation would be a better term. Even the beatnick subculture were more interested in lifestyle than political change. The thing I remember about that generation is that church attendance was high, and youth groups and campus religious foundations were active.
