RFB&D can produce books far quicker than NLS can. Secondly, RFB&D
generally doesn't make decisions as to what to record; members submit the
books to them.
Finally, unlike NLS, there is no waiting period for RFB&D materials as
tapes and cds are copied for users as needed.
One can be on a waiting list, on the other hand, for a considerable period
of time for a book from their regional library.
