Rick, I'll save this message and look around on the Net. Wonder if J and R Music would have them. I like their prices on things quite often. Thanks for the info. They fold up kind of like a pair of glasses and sound really good. They are what is known as an open air design, so they just rest on your ears, not surround them, so you can easily hear what is going on around you. These, along with the Koss PortaPro'ss are my favorite set of head phones in the under $100 category. Actually, I like the px100's a little more than the PortaPro because they sound more natural to me. The PortaPro's can sometimes over-emphasize the bass. --Best regards, --Rick Alfaro --rick.alfaro@xxxxxxxxxxx ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Margo Sent: Tuesday, July 05, 2005 10:46 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bookport] Re: speaker and earphones shannon, oh, yeah, I lvoe the Book Port. I like the ear buds for the same reasons you do but my ears hurt after a bit and they don't stay in my ears well. I'm concerned that A PH private phones althugh wonderful could block out more sound than I'd like. I might give them a try, though. I do hope you like your Book Port as much as I like mine. I am glad you asked this question about the headphones since I too have been wondering about this. I like the ear buds because I can hear what's going on around me--I have two young children, but they also allow me to hear the book quite clearly as well. I do find however, after a lot of reading my ears do tend to get sore from them. I ordered the TDK I'maspeaker stereo model--the one that can hold 24 CD's. cost me $16 plus $5.95 shiping and I think $1.88 tax. Am looking forward to that. Now, I want to know what earphones people are using. I appreciate the printing House for sending the earbuds but to me there not quite as comfortable as I'd like so am wondering what you all are using if you're not using a speaker or the earbuds. Thanks. Margo and Seeing eye dog Elmo
