When I get the speaker, does a cord stick out that I just plug into the Book
Port?

We have both the mono and stereo Imaspeaker. Either works fine with the
bookport. It's nice you found one for such a good price. The stereo version
cost me NZ$60, but our higher tax rate accounts for some of that, not to
mention import fees, etc.
