I've never tried this, but with the BP connected, tab down to where you hear the list of folders that are on your Bookport. Select the one you want, then press enter. Then go back to send queued files. Press send. It could work. If it doesn't, you can move them from the root directory into whatever folder you like by using the BP's move commands. To refresh your memory... point to the file you want to move. Then press the star and pound keys at the same time. You will hear,"Move." Open the folder where you want to move the file. Press star, pound, and zero. You should hear, "File moved." It is a bit slow for moving a lot of files, but it will work.

Right. That's what I thought. So is there a way to tell the Bookport what
folder once it's connected, after cuing a bunch of files before it was
connected?

In order for BP Transfer to know what folder in which to put your
files, your BP has to be connected. Think about it. BP Transfer
won't know just what folders are on your Bookport unless it actually
sees them on the BP. It can't do that if the Bookport isn't connected.
