Hi.  Service Pack 3 is the latest security fix for Windows XP.
 It just came out a couple of weeks ago. What you're thinking RE: a recall
may have to do with the notion  that it is probably best to wait for 
Microsoft to work some of the bugs out before performing a install of XP 
SP3.
The install takes  hours and is not an easy matter.
