Card burners can be bought for anywhere from under $10 for one that will accommodate only a CF card to around $20 or so for one that will accept just about any kind of card (CF, SD, etc.) you care to throw at it. I've had excellent luck with Sandisk burners and if you're running Windows XP, they require no separate drivers--just plug the burner into any available USB socket and go. Burners are available at any computer store or online. Yes, all bookmarks, pointers to the last open book in a folder, etc., will be saved by doing the transfer the way I outlined. I've done this myself many times. I did mean to mention that you _could_ do this using the Book Port instead of a card burner, but it would take quite a bit longer because the BP is only USB 1.1, while burners will nearly always be USB 2.0, which is much faster. If using the Book Port, however, you would open it in Windows Explorer just as you would open any drive and use the same copy-and-paste process I outlined in my first message. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eu Jin" <eujin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, October 05, 2006 11:51 PM Subject: [bookport] Re: Transferring data from one CF card to another Hi Walt, Thanks for your help and so promptly too! You probably answered this already but may I just check with you again that when the transfer to the new card is completed, all the navigational features of the book port will still work? I am asking this because the transfer process is being done through Windows Explorer rather than the book port transfer software. Also, are CF card burners expensive and is there a particular make that I should be looking out for? Thanks again for your time and assistance! Eu Jin
