Hi there,

I think you missunderstood what I was suggesting. I didn't mean the actual time as set with the clock, I meant for the ability to have a keystroke to announce the elapsed time within the mp3 audio file.

We already have the time with a single keystroke, key 2 held down for
one beep. As to the second, I don't see this as being even remotely
technically feasible, given all of the parameters that would have to be
considered--size of file, reading rate, etc. The percentage figure
allows me to make a rough approximation of the reading time and in any
case, I don't even find this to be a particularly necessary piece of
information except in very rare circumstances.

Subject: [bookport] Suggestions for next Fermware beta

Hi folks,

I just downloaded the latest fermware beta and it works fine. A couple
of
suggestions however:
1. How about the ability to speak current time with a keystroke, perhaps
key
5 once?
2. What about the ability to try to acertain the entire length of the
file
in hours minutes and seconds. I'm not sure how easy that would be to
implement though.

Would be interested in your thoughts.

Best

-James-
