A key-learn feature in, Franklin's Language Master Talking Dictionary, worked very well for me. They made learning the keys a game. As a timer ran, you were supposed to press the key requested and a score was given at the end. I don't think this took up much memory since I received the machine approximately nine years ago. It could be set to sound out the key requests faster as your knowledge of the layout improved. ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Allen" <wd8ldy@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, September 18, 2004 12:37 AM Subject: [bookport] Re: Suggestion for enhancement : Hi to all! : : It seems to me that competition is a poor reason for justifying a key learn : mode. But I do think it would be a good feature to have. : : Help, as it currently exists, gets the manual file copied automatically to : whatever card you happen to have in the unit when you update the firmware. : I'll grant you that those who follow this list have a better idea of when : this is going to happen.
