Richard: You will need to get a Key Code for the Book Wizard, which is what Book = Port Transfer uses to transfer those books to the Book Port. At last = report, the cost for the Key Disc was approximately $10, plus shipping. I = don't know whether it's on a floppy, or CD. Sorry!=20 Once you install the information on your PC, and you attempt to transfer = one of their books, it will ask you for the PIN number they assign to the = Book Wizard, and the transfer is allowed.=20 Pamela >>> ring.richard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 09/20/04 04:24PM >>> Is it something they ship, on a CD or a floppy? I know, dumb question, but if you don't ask you don't know. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Barrett, Don Sent: Monday, September 20, 2004 3:17 PM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 Subject: [bookport] Re: RFB&D You buy a $20 key from RFB&D and install it on your PC; this allows the =3D3D transfer software to then send these books to the unit. Please note, this is not a criticism, it is simply something I'm wondering about. I read in the Bookport manual that the Bookport can in fact play digital talking books from RFB&D. However, no mention is made of the process by which one can activate the Bookport so that it can play such books. I realize that the process is not in fact referred to as activation, but what exactly does one have to do? Inquiring minds want to know.
