I'm having the same problem, as well.

I am also having this irritating problem on our two BP's.
We are using version 2.1.0.0.
Every time I plug in the BP I get the announcement about a beta version.

Jeff:

You need to update the software first. You should have Book Port
Transfer version 2.1.0.0. If you already have this version, let us know.

I just connected my BP to my PC and got the question about the
firmware update as I expected, but it indicated that it was a beta
release. I'm not a beta tester, nor do I want to be. I thought this
problem was fixed. Why wasn't I given the option to install the 2.1.0

firmware update?

I really hope this isn't going to be a regular problem. Isn't there
anything that can be done to separate beta releases from standard
releases?
