Margo,
There are all kinds of portable speakers that you can use. It all depends
on how much you want to spend. If you do a search on buy.com you will come
up with several of them. Also, a lot of folks seem to like the TDK I'm a
Speaker that apparently can be modified to hold the BookPort and also serve
as an amplified speaker.

Hi, listers. I am a new Bookport person and am thoroughly enjoying it. I
would like to purchase a set of or an external speaker for times when I
don't want to use headphone or earphones or ear buds with it. have any of
you purchased speakers or a speaker for the Book Port and if so, which
speakers or speaker, and how much do speakers cost? Should I get the
speakers with the amplifier built in?
