Is the belt clip on the back of the Executive Products case removable?

The front flap that can be velcroed to the back makes the Bookport
more stable while using it as a notetaker. With some people, the
Bookport's belt clip wouldn't allow them to write on a table, because
the BP's surface wasn't flat. I always held the Bookport in my hand,
so I didn't have this problem.
