Actually, that's not true. We had Windows 2000 here before going to XP and all
I ever did was disconnect the plug from the Book Port and the only additional
thing I had to do was hit the escape key on the PC to make the Safely Remove
box disappear. It was never a problem and even our programmers said so.

Not if you're running Windows XP. You do need to follow that procedure with
other versions of Windows.

Subject: [bookport] Do I need to...

Hi All,

After I have completed adding files to the bp, to disconnect do I have to go
to the task bar and go thru that 'remove hardware' thing, or can I just
disconnect?

What if I were transferring the files to the card via a card reader...how
would I disconnect from the card reader?

Many thanks,
Nancy
