There are a lot of ideas out there, but basically not, at least not without
special programs which may or may not work. What I'm sure you cannot do is go
directly from a downloaded overdrive book to your Book Port using the transfer
software.

I haven't been following the discussion since, until now, I didn't know what
Overdrive books were. Can someone convert these books to MP3 files and play
them on Book Port? Could someone repeat the information for a novice like me?

  Thanks!

    Barbara,
Overdrive is a service that is available at *some* libraries. Contact
your state library and ask them if they have it.

Basically, its a lending service and the downloadable files are time
limited, to 2 weeks. Past that and they do not play. These are newer
titles, not public domain books, so its a good option.
