Hi Pamela and list:

Thanks very much. Definitely useful to know that. Guess the AA files are the bookmarks?

Cheers,
Dave

Dave:

You could copy the files to save your Book marks and paste them back,
once you've created the folder structure.

Hi Pamela and list:

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into that. Have already put
bookmarks
in most of the files but it is something I'll consider when I can
reorganise
the card along the lines you recommend. Until then, I'll live with the

problem in order to preserve the marks. If it gets too troublesome, I
can
start over.

Cheers,
Dave

Dave:

I have seen sluggishness on cards if you have all of your folders on
the Root folder, even if there's only one file in the root. If that
is
the case, then you might have better success creating just one folder
in
the root and putting all of your other folders off the subfolder.
So,
on the root, you could have the manual, Notes folder, and Memo
folder
and a BP folder, with all of your other folders inside the BP
folder.

Hi Sandy and list:

Your suggestion is reasonable. But yes, I reformatted the 2 Gig card
before
I put anything on it.

Cheers,
Dave

My 2gig cards are sluggish, but that is because I didn't reformat
after
the latest update. David, did you reformat? Just curious. The
2gig

cards are supposed to behave themselves now.

I kept buying successively bigger cards until my current one is a 2

Sometimes the book port is sluggish to respond to commands on this
card.
I've only experienced this degree of sluggishness with the larger
card. I
know I don't have too many files in the root folder of the card
because
there is only one file there--the book port manual. I can only
conclude
that the slow response has something to do with the size of the
card.
It
isn't a consistent thing. It happens rarely so it isn't a problem
for
me.
Nevertheless, it does happen.

I'm thinking of buying a bookport.

How well does the book port work with larger storage capacity
flash

cards?
I'd be most interested to know what kind of storage folks are
currently
using with book port.
