there is no way to convert the old book port to play talkingbooks. and the book
port is not a boat anchor it plays more file formats than anything out there.
It is still a good deal for the money. aft is not the first kid on the block
but when they show up with a product it is well thought out.

You no, I do understand that as blind individuals we have no lobby,
absolutely no voice, and most of all no business complaining about anything. Of
course I don't want to seam ungrateful for what I have, but not being able to
play n l s books on the current bookport is a stone bummer.
To many blind persons four hundred fifty dollars is a large chunk of
change. As we all no lots of blind folks are on a fixed income and don't have
much discretionary money to spend on book players.
I wonder, could it be possible that the printing house could set up a
program where you could send your bookport back for a conversion so it would
play n l s books. Maybe this could say cost fifty bucks and be sent free
matter. After all this is, "the American printing house for, and I do mean
for, the blind.
