This is a problem we are aware of, and one we are trying to correct. One thing to notice: If the unit stops, try pressing the Play key two = times. It is almost as if it stops, but it does not know it is stopped. = So, you press Play to stop it, then Play again to start it again. >>> cranston.sarah@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Wednesday, November 24, 2004 9:20:25 = AM >>> Thank you Rich, now I don't have to describe my BookPort's behavior. I, = =3D too, have noticed my unit stopping at random times and for no apparent =3D reason. It happens, on average, a few times a week, and I also use it =3D every day. I have to press a key, wait for the double-beep, then press = =3D another key in order to get it to resume normal operation. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Richard Ring Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2004 8:05 AM To: bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 Subject: [bookport] Re: Book Port Stopping My experience has been somewhat different, yet the stopping issue remains the same. I have had my Bookport stop speaking, and quite often, when this happens, if I wait several minutes, it resumes normal operation. This doesn't happen often at all, and I use the device every day. I haven't found it to be a major inconvenience, but I have found it strange. There seems to be no way to reproduce the behavior, no set of specific steps that I can go through to make it happen, it just happens. -----Original Message----- From: bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 [mailto:bookport-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dale Lieser Sent: Wednesday, November 24, 2004 7:47 AM To: Book Port List Subject: [bookport] Book Port Stopping I, too, have had the BP stop suddenly. Occasionally I need to remove and reseat the batteries to get it going again, but usually just resetting the=3D3D20 unit does the trick. Dale
